October 15, 2006 — “Rain”

With all the rain we have had the last few days, get ready for us to really light-up. Boy those BIGGGGGG TROUT love that sweet water. With all the rain we have had look for the bay to turn on for a massive fall feed. With out the fresh water run off the upper coast has we get pretty excited when we get this kind of rains.

Sorry for not posting a report sooner but we have been busy with Cast n Blast and catching fish. Coming off of our two largest groups this year, today has been a real rest period for us, though short lived. Back on the water tomorrow.

We have been catching some outstanding trout! Just less than a week ago we had an angler catch a 29 then turn around and catch a 27 the next day. Both still swim today, and I might add he walked away with a New President Reel and a Signature All-star Rod. Seems the fresh water has given us another shrimp hatch and the birds are pointing the way to numerous trout and reds. Cajun Pepper tails have been our go to bait when not throwing Top Waters. Seems we have been able to throw tops most of the day, with good results. Small top waters have been the best for good trout and mid slot reds. My favorite has been bone with yellow back, but seems the kid (Capt. Brandon) has been smoking the reds on Black back chrome she pups.

Hopefully we can get some offshore time, Seas have been TOUGH lately. We did have one group brave the seas last weekend; they were rewarded with limits of snapper and a good Ling. They did confirm one angler provided addition chum for all.

With our tides running 1 foot or more above normal we are fishing areas we haven’t seen since last spring. The reds are in there along with some outstanding trout.

We still have a few Package Whitetail Hunts available, not only bucks but we have lots of Does which need to be harvested. Call if you are interested.

PLEASE KEEP CAPT. Dan Coley and his wife joyce in your prayers, HE STARTS TREATMENTS TODAY. I WILL POST UP DATES AS NECESSARY
