Re: Inshore Fishing South of the Border
I was in Mexico last summer in August on business. One of the oil field company's that I work with out of San Fernando took us on their rig helicopter up and down the beach. I have no clue as to exactly where we were, but it was the Mexico Laguna Madre. We focused on the passes, beachfront, and Laguna with fly rods. We caught everything: Tarpon, snook, trout, redfish, lady fish, jacks, and shark. It was the most fish I've ever caught. I never saw another boat, fisherman, or commercial fisherman. The system seemed to be in exceptional shape. Lot's of aquatic life on the Laguna side. We are planning another trip in August.
