Fall weather techniques

Hello everyone,

I will be in PM for my annual fishing trip dec. 5th. We always fish PM this week of the year, but of course the weather is different each time we come. I have been watching the weather closely, and it has given rise to a few questions. In general, how big a role does water temperature play in the patterns that fish follow? Is it a factor, the most important factor, the only factor? more specifically, if temperatures hold like they have been, will fall patterns hold indefinitely, or will the fish ultimately yield to other factors? I am thinking specifically about the possibility of topwater action in earl december.

thanks for any comments,

david lesher
