this is not a wise-acre answer: the trout are absolutely everywhere right now.  The average time to limit is typically between and 8 and 8:30 (You have to consider too, we seldom leave the dock before 6:45 or 7)

Redfish are skinny and go to the spoils or sugar sand flats north or south of the cut and you are ready to go.  I limited on reds and trout by 10 without ever leaving sight of the mouth of the harbor.  It hasn't been like this in a few years.
